Vodafone Albania, in collaboration with Nokia, has introduced on July 9, 2026 a new development in 5G technology, known as “Network Slicing”, a solution powered by Artificial Intelligence and developed by the Vodafone Group. This innovation once again confirms Albania’s positioning as an important innovation market in the implementation of the most advanced connectivity technologies.

Developed in partnership with Nokia, this solution combines Vodafone's "5G 'Standalone' network with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling more intelligent management of network resources and creating the foundations for a new generation of digital services with higher performance, security and reliability.
"Innovation has always been at the heart of Vodafone Albania's ambition to deliver the best possible digital connectivity experience. As demand for digital services continues to grow, intelligent networks will become increasingly important in delivering more resilient, efficient and convenient connectivity. This demonstration reflects our commitment to exploring technologies that will help shape the future of digital infrastructure, while strengthening Albania's position as an innovation market within the Vodafone Group," said Balázs Révész, CEO of Vodafone Albania.

The role of Artificial Intelligence in this combination is to simultaneously analyze network conditions and real-world information, which will result in autonomy to make decisions that optimize performance in real time. This makes it possible to avoid predefined configurations. Instead, Artificial Intelligence analyzes the network in real time and redistributes resources where they are needed most. This analysis not only helps identify network bottlenecks, but also enables a more flexible, on-demand internet connection.
"Agentic AI technology brings a new level of intelligence to 'network slicing'. By combining deep network analysis with contextual data from the real world, we enable networks that can draw conclusions, decide and act independently. Together with Vodafone Albania, we are demonstrating how this capability can open up entirely new service models and drive the next wave of 5G innovation." – underlined, Pallavi Mahajan, Chief Technology and AI Officer, Nokia.

This technological innovation in the business field represents a significant step towards the future of internet connectivity, demonstrating how artificial intelligence will increasingly become part of the infrastructure of the digital economy.
As digital services continue to expand and demand for internet connectivity grows, networks must evolve beyond simply transmitting traffic. In the future, the next generation of mobile infrastructure will be able to automatically understand and optimize network performance without the need for manual intervention.

The introduction of "network slicing" with artificial intelligence shows how future networks can dynamically respond to different situations, supporting applications such as:
· Stable connection for businesses operating mission-critical services, such as airports or services that require high security and rapid coordination
· Intelligent resource allocation during large public events, such as concerts or events
· More network flexibility during unforeseen demands
· More efficient network capacity management through automation with artificial intelligence
This partnership reaffirms Vodafone Albania's continued commitment to investing in innovation and exploring technologies that will shape the new generation of digital infrastructure.
By bringing together connectivity and artificial intelligence, Vodafone Albania and Nokia are taking the first steps in building the foundations for future services that will bring benefits to businesses, public institutions and society.
