Citizens have taken to the streets again this Wednesday, marking the 11th consecutive day of rallies, with the main demand being the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
As in previous days, protesters gathered at 6:00 PM at Skanderbeg Square, to then continue the march towards the Prime Minister's Office building. At this point, speeches are expected from organizers, activists and participating citizens, while the protest is expected to spread to some of Tirana's main axes.
This Wednesday's rally has been billed as a nationwide protest, with calls for participation not only from citizens within the country, but also from Albanians living outside Albania. Organizers link this date to the anniversary of the founding of the League of Prizren, considering it a symbol of national unity and unification.
