An individual suspected of being employed by the Ministry of Education and Merit in Italy has caused a great shock in public opinion and the Italian political scene, after a controversial post on social networks.
In his message, he expressed a malicious message towards the 7-year-old daughter of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, wishing her the same tragic fate as Martina Carbonaro, a young girl who was murdered by her partner.
This post was immediately denounced by the Fratelli d'Italia party, which called it "shocking and completely unacceptable." Prime Minister Meloni herself reacted harshly to the incident.
"We are not dealing with a political debate or an emotional outburst. This is something much darker, an expression of ideological hatred that violates all limits of reason, including the desire for the death of a child just to hit a political figure. Against this violent climate, politics as a whole must show unity. Because there are limits that should never be crossed. Meanwhile, the Minister of Education, Giuseppe Valditara, announced that he will launch an investigation to identify and punish the author of this threatening message.
