The new "Grigor Cilka" road has been completed, which connects Unit 2 with the neighborhoods of Farka.
The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, thanked the residents for their patience and the workers who completed the works in a short time.
In addition to increasing the value of the property, Veliaj said that the road is expected to significantly facilitate the circulation of vehicles. "We poured concrete, steel and iron to support the houses, investing a greater value than the house itself. The fact that we have had your understanding and the fact that everyone has been cooperative makes me proud. I hope the capillary roads will relieve the traffic a bit. The traffic that is created at the Sauk roundabout and the Lundra roundabout is unnecessary traffic, especially for those who, in fact, find it easier to use the secondary roads to go home", said Veliaj.
He mentioned a good news for the residents, when he said that the government has approved the decision that facilitates the procedures in rural areas, when it comes to building an attic, repairing a roof, covering housing with a capot system or installing retaining walls. and surrounding. "For these works, until yesterday, people had to come to the big municipality, do procedures with architects, which cost more for the architect than the roof of the house itself. I am glad that this nonsense was resolved with the kindness and will of the prime minister and our majority in government. This does not mean that it should be abused, but it is done to make life easier for the citizens", explained Veliaj.
Erosion and landslides are concerns that residents will no longer face after the investment on "Grigor Cilka" road. Veliaj invited the citizens to cooperate so that the good works continue, mentioning some of the projects.
"We still have work for the New Theatre, the Botanical Garden and the Terminal at Kthesa e Kamza, but in the meantime we have also focused on investments in the neighborhoods, on the roads that connect the units. Until yesterday, it seemed to us that it was the end of the world in the division between the rural area and the urban area. But, when the road is built in Zall-Bastar, when the road is built in Krrabë, when the road is built in Zall-Herr, then even the rural area gets the benefits of the city, preserving the tradition and lifestyle in an exceptional area", said Veliaj.
With the appeal to the citizens to signal any problems, the mayor reminded them to apply to benefit from the "Community Fund", where 50% of the value is paid by the municipality and 50% is collected from residents' contributions. "Whoever needs their building fitted with a capot system, who needs an elevator, who needs solar panels, the municipality pays half of the investment," he added.
