Will snowfall return in mid-May? Here's what the weather is expected to be like this week

The weather in Albania is expected to undergo strong changes this week, bringing drops in temperatures, rainfall and even the possibility of snowfall in mountainous areas.
Meteorologist Tanja Porja warned that the weather will become more unstable from Wednesday, while short-term showers are expected in most of the territory on Thursday and Friday. According to her, there is also a possibility that light snowfalls will return to the peaks of Albania's mountains, an unusual phenomenon for the month of May.
Monday continues with cloudy weather and light rainfall mainly in the north and northeast, while temperatures remain high, reaching up to 27°C. From Tuesday, the gradual decrease in temperatures begins, while on Wednesday the thermometer is expected to drop by 4-5 degrees throughout the country.
The coldest day will be Thursday, when in mountainous areas minimum temperatures may drop to 3°C. Meanwhile, rain and cloudiness will continue on Friday and Saturday.
According to forecasts, unstable weather will affect not only Albania, but also the region, including Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
