Prime Minister Edi Rama has gathered since 08:30 in the morning the political leaders of the Socialist Party as well as the government ministers.
There are still no details about the discussions within the pink camp.
The meeting takes place at an important political moment, as citizen protests against the government have been ongoing for more than three weeks.
Protesters have repeatedly demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Rama and the removal of the government, demands that have been rejected by the head of government.
