SPAK seizes a villa in Dhërmi suspected of being owned by Balluk

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has imposed a preventive seizure on a villa and resort in Gjilekë, Dhërmi. SPAK announces that the property is suspected to be indirectly owned by former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku. The decision to seize was taken by the GJKKO on June 3, 2026, following the request of SPAK.

According to the announcement of the Special Prosecution Office, Balluku "is currently a defendant for the criminal offense of "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions", while further investigative actions have also revealed new suspicions of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense", in collaboration".
