Hundreds of people have gathered to pay their last respects to Italian television icon Maurizio Costanzo, who died yesterday aged 84.
Maria De Filippi together with the adopted son of the couple, Gabriele, appeared in tears in the first row where the relatives and close friends of the family are located.
The presenter, dressed in a suit and dark glasses, tries to console her son, in front of the many people who arrive to pay their respects to her husband.
In the morning, the mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, was also there to pay his respects to the icon of Italian television.
“Ishte një njeri me profesionalizëm dhe humanizëm të jashtëzakonshëm,” e përshkroi kryetari i Bashkisë së Romës Roberto Gualtieri.
“Ai ka ndihmuar miliona italianë të kuptojnë dhe eksplorojnë jetën, në mënyrën e tij të mprehtë, të matur e kurioze”, tha gazetari dhe ish politikani Francesco Rutelli.
Ndër emrat e njohur që kanë mbërritur deri tani janë Gianni Ippoliti, Mara Venier, Pierluigi Diaco, i cili shpërtheu në lot, Rudy Zerbi, Ermete Realacci dhe Valerio Mastandrea, i cili hyri me një trëndafil në dorë.
“Nga ai mësova jetën dhe humanizmin. Një gjë që i thonim gjithmonë njëri-tjetrit ishte se u takuam vonë. U përpoqëm të gjenim ide për qytetin që të dy e duam. Zbulova një person me humanizëm shumë të madh,” deklaroi ish-kryetarja e Bashkisë së Romës Virginia Raggi.
The Promoteca room in the Campidoglio where the tributes are being held will remain open tomorrow, while the funeral will take place on Monday at the Church of the Artists in Piazza del Popolo in Rome.
