A meteor was seen by residents across Portugal and Spain on Saturday evening (18.5.2024), a phenomenon captured in dozens of videos and photos posted on social media.

Videos and photos of a giant glowing blue object lighting up the sky, believed to be a meteor spotted in Portugal and Spain, have surfaced on social media

At the moment, it has not been confirmed whether it hit the Earth's surface, however some reports say it may have fallen near the city of Castro Daire. Other reports say it was closer to Pinheiro in Portugal.
