A Der Spiegel journalist came to Albania: You will never be bored
Claus Hecking, the editor of the German newspaper Der Spiegel, spent his holidays in Albania.
After returning to the base, he dedicated an article to the most beautiful places he visited here: from the mountain to the sea.
"Caribbean-like beaches, spectacular mountain scenery, gloomy bunkers: Albania is perhaps the most unusual travel destination in Europe - but never boring.
Some of the places that Claus mentions in the article are: Butrinti, Ksamili, Gjirokastra, Thethi and Bunk'Art of Tirana.
"It's autumn, the water is 25 degrees and it was so calm and clear that you can see the fish and the little crabs below you as you swim," he says, adding: "Oh how beautiful Albania is!" Be it for the beaches similar to Bora Bora in Ksamil, but also the ancient ruins of Butrint or walking through the rugged mountain landscapes around Theth and Valbona", he writes.
