Margot Robbie has taken on one of the most iconic roles: she is the new face of Chanel No.5.
Robbie takes over from French actress Marion Cotillard, who has been the perfume's ambassador since 2020. Previous ambassadors also include Australian actress Nicole Kidman and Marilyn Monroe.
In a statement, Robbie described it as "one of the most iconic fragrances in the world" and said she was honored to be a brand ambassador for the perfume.
"My first memory of Chanel No. 5 is the Nicole Kidman ad directed by Baz Luhrmann. I was probably 14 and Moulin Rouge was so big. I remember the ad. And because Nicole is Australian, she gave it to me the first little light that, Oh, maybe these dreams are attainable. Someone else from my country did it. Maybe I can."
The promotional short film for the perfume "See you at 5", which was directed by Luca Guadagnino, has just been released and Robbie stars with actor Jacob Elordi.
