The best hotel in the world is Passalacqua, an 18th-century villa on the shores of Italy's Lake Como.
That's according to the organization 50 Best, which announced the results of "The World's 50 Best Hotels" in London on Tuesday.
The ranking is based on nominations made by 580 anonymous voters made up of travel journalists, hoteliers and luxury travelers worldwide, the organization said.
