Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted after the defeat and elimination in this world by Morocco.

The Portuguese star says that it was his biggest dream to win the title for his country, while he has called all that has been said about his stay on the bench for the last two games as speculation.

Full reaction:

Winning the World Cup for Portugal was the biggest and most ambitious dream of my career. Fortunately, I have won many international titles, including with Portugal, but putting our country's name on the highest peaks in the world was my biggest dream.

I fought for it. I fought a lot for this dream. In the 5 World Cup appearances I made over 16 years, always alongside great players and supported by millions of Portuguese, I gave everything on the pitch. I never gave up on that dream.

Unfortunately yesterday the dream ended. Much has been said, much has been written, much has been speculated, but my commitment to Portugal has not changed for a moment. I have always been a fighter for everyone's cause and I would never turn my back on my colleagues and my country.

I don't have much to say right now. Thank you Portugal. Thank you Qatar. The dream was beautiful while it lasted... Now, I hope time will be the best counselor and let everyone draw their own conclusions.
