The students of the 9-year-old school "Andrea Stefani" in Laprakë joined the campaign of the Municipality of Tirana to plant 159 trees, following the growth of greenery. The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, focusing on the new projects, which are expected to be implemented within this mandate, he also spoke about the Northern Bus Terminal, where he announced that the works will start very soon, as he emphasized that it will significantly increase property value in the entire area, as it will be widely frequented not only by travelers, but also by the surrounding residents, as happened in the Eastern Terminal.
"We will start the works for the Northern Bus Terminal, so I would like to have a cooperation with the unit. I know that, as in any work that is done in Tirana, first there will be some land claimants, then political parties will enter because I am sure that even this investment will not escape this curse, which apparently those who work have in this city. Who works will be seen, who opens a construction site will be hindered. But what is important is that we won the legal battle. Today we have gone through all the stages with the invaders, claimants, with all kinds of characters, who have approached to take that land. The land belongs to the municipality, we have won those battles. The courts have given the final verdict. I want maximum cooperation and understanding, so that we don't block the city anymore. Otherwise, we will only be late, because things will happen anyway. At Astiri it was only delayed, because Astiri was made; we were late at the Boulevard, at the Theater as well. The work will be done, the point is not to be late anymore. If we had worked as hard as we debated, we would have moved forward.
