"Sami Frashëri" Gymnasium, among the most beautiful schools of the bouquet of 40 new schools that have been built and are being built in Tirana, 12 of which open their doors this September, is almost ready to receive students after being rebuilt after the earthquake. Mayor Erion Veliaj inspected the last details in the modern building, with a capacity for 1500 students, and said that the new school, as an infrastructure, resembles a 5-star hotel.
"I am very happy when I see that the last renovations are taking place, the railings are being installed, to have a limitation of the school territory, where we can do activities in the yard, etc. We also installed cameras, there is an air conditioning system; this school is no different from a five-star hotel, where everything is of the latest standard. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful school in Albania, but it is probably also the most beautiful in the region. I really hope that the real beauty will be brought by the boys and girls who will come and populate these supermodern premises in September", he said.
Veliaj tha se është e rëndësishme të ruhet reputacioni i shkollës, jo vetëm si ndërtesë, por edhe në rezultate dhe aktivitete jashtëshkollore. Ai u shpreh se me këtë investim, sikurse edhe në 40 shkollat e tjera të reja në Tiranë, merr fund mësimi me dy turne, ndërsa pasdite godina e re do të shërbejë si qendër komunitare.
“Duam që shkolla të funksionojë edhe si qendër komunitare pasdite, ndaj mësimin do ta kalojmë paradite. Nuk do të ketë më mësim pasdite, por as bosh nuk do ta lëmë sepse mund ta shfrytëzojmë për 21 klubet e ‘Samiut’, për t’i dhënë hapësirë kujtdo të organizojë aktivitete në këto ambiente. Do të kemi një vëmendje të shtuar te administratorët e shkollave, sidomos në këtë shkollë, e cila është si të menaxhosh një hotel kur vjen puna te sistemi i pompave, mirëmbajtja, kamerat e sigurisë, kondicionimi, apo sistemi antizjarr, kaldajat etj. Me këtë shkollë i kemi dhënë Tiranës një xhevahir të paprecedentë në cilësinë e një ndërtese arsimore, por kemi ngritur edhe stekën për shkollat e tjera që vijnë më pas”, u shpreh ai.
