Rama: Progress The most positive report of all years for Albania!
The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, appeared today in a joint conference with the ambassador of the European Union Delegation, Silvio Gonzato, where the focus is on the 2024 Progress Report for Albania, published by the European Commission.
"I am very glad that today we receive a very positive report, the most positive of all these years, and normally such because this is the progress of the country and the second intergovernmental conference affirmed the recognition by all EU institutions and countries of the progress made from Albania.
The report is real and balanced and as it recognizes the progress, it accurately marks the milestones for the steps to be taken further and the issues we need to focus on in order to fulfill the conditions for membership", said Rama.
"The report makes a high assessment of the implementation of the justice reform and there are definitely points that need to be addressed and still gaps that need to be filled. More rightly appreciates the work of SPAK, following in-depth investigations of corruption cases, including those of high political and official profiles.
Second, the economy and increased well-being. The report confirms this year the continuation of the country's economic growth and Albania's preparation for a market economy. Economic growth has been a strong growth as the report says, as well as the growth of tourism and growing investments, it is a fact.
Thirdly, there is one point, it is good progress and getting closer to the criteria for membership in the field of energy", said Rama further.
