Rama for the BBC: The British are not all James Bond and Mr. Bean, nor are the Albanians like in the movie 'Taken'

In an interview for the BBC, in the "Today" program, Rama spoke about the issue of illegal emigration of Albanians to Britain through La Manche.
The Albanian Prime Minister also emphasized the negative way and the generalization that is done to Albanian immigrants, recalling well-known British characters and the movie "Taken".
"As far as I'm concerned, I'm here to make sure that everyone hears clearly and loudly that Albanians are not only associated with boats. Just as Britain is not just James Bond or Mr. Bean, we're not just "Taken" either. We are here as an important community, we drive, build, cook and even sing for you, so we are not just about boats, we are dealing with a complex issue, which is certainly related to the ambition and needs of the people in our side of the world to go to places where they imagine the future more in their hands and faster", said Rama.
He further added:
"It is true that with the strengthening of our cooperation there are some clear results that, rightly, the prime minister and the government here are emphasizing, but, on the other hand, we reject and will always reject this mix of some criminals with Albanians like such, since putting an ethnic stamp on the crime is itself a crime.
