Kurti talks about the situation in the North: We will not hand over our republic

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, present at the forum in Bratislava, said that the violent situation in the North is happening as a result of the presence of Russian groups. Kurti adds that if there will be peaceful protests in these municipalities for the repetition of the elections, they will have his support.

"Our police are doing a professional job helped by our allies. They have a western vocation, they know human rights very well and there are no violations. In these municipalities, I have ordered that the vice-presidents be Serbs, so the Albanian mayor chooses his own vice-presidents. What is happening in the North is that their concept of the Serbian world is being reflected in our country. I am asking you a question, which is not rhetorical: If these commune members do not go to the offices, who should go to these offices that are empty? They are not protests, but crowds with the letter Z shouting 'ubi ubi', that is 'kill kill'. We will not hand over our republic to these fascists. If the citizens of these municipalities would hold peaceful protests to demand the repetition of the elections in the North, they would have my support", said Kurti.
