The former mayor of Libohova, Luiza Mandi, was sentenced by the Posaccme Anticorruption Court this Thursday, to 1 year in prison, taking advantage of the shortened trial, the sentence is converted to 8 months.
Mandi was accused by SPAK of "Misuse of duty", in connection with a complaint that was filed by a citizen, who denounced the fact that a road widening project was being developed by the Municipality on the properties of his family members.
After this report, SPAK seized the project and found that the expropriation procedure was not implemented, which brought economic damage to the reporting family in the amount of ALL 362,480.
Luiza Mandi turns out to be outside Albanian territory, while her trial was conducted in absentia.
