It's not entirely clear how they "sniffed" the expensive Richard Mille watch on the Mexican tourist's hand, but two boys approached him in Piazza Duomo, in Milan, as the tourist was getting into a taxi, to steal the watch.
The moment was filmed and went viral online.
They were unsuccessful, and when they couldn't, they turned to a young girl, whose purse they took. She followed them and helped the police catch one of them.
