US President-elect Donald Trump has been convicted in New York Court of 34 criminal charges related to payments to buy the silence of pornographic actress Stormy Daniels, and falsifying business records, but will not serve a single day in prison, due to his immunity as President.
Trump appeared virtually from Florida and gave a brief speech, saying he was "totally innocent" and describing the trial as "a very terrible experience," saying the case was brought about illegally through a conspiracy among his opponents.
Today's sentencing hearing comes as Trump prepares for his second term as US president.
