75% of the votes in Turkey are counted, Erdogan leads convincingly

The second round of presidential elections was held in Turkey today.

So far it is reported that 75.62 percent of the boxes have been opened and Recep Tayip Erdogan leads with 54.03%, while his rival, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, stands at 45.97%.

Erdogan has had an upward trend during the last few minutes and seems to be heading safely towards victory.

The voting process opened at 08:00 and closed at 17:00 and according to the Turkish media, the turnout was over 85%.

In the first round, Erdogan received 49.52 percent of the vote, with his main opponent, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, 44.88 percent.
