You will no longer need passports to travel to the country with the most

Soon, you won't need your passport to travel through Singapore's Changi Airport.

Starting in 2024, the airport will replace passport controls with automated processes.

Biometric technology and facial recognition will be used to allow passengers to fly without passports.

However, passengers will still need to carry their travel documents for landing at other locations.

Singapore also has the most powerful passport in the world

Singaporeans can take particular pride in their passports, even as physical documents start to become less important at home.

Their country topped the Henley Passport Index rankings this year, knocking Japan off the top spot.

This is because Singaporeans enjoy visa-free access to 192 travel destinations out of 227 worldwide.

The country has soared, gaining visa-free access to 25 more countries over the past 10 years.
