Donald Trump sworn in as 47th US president: America will soon be greater

President-elect Donald Trump has just been sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.
"Starting today, our country will flourish and be respected around the world again. We will be the envy of every country and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of. Every day of my presidency, I will put America first. Our top priority will be to build a nation that is proud, prosperous and free. America will soon be greater, stronger and more extraordinary than ever before," Trump said in his speech.
Trump added that he returns to the presidency "confident and optimistic" and that it is "the beginning of an exciting new era of national success."
In his speech, Trump did not spare criticism of the Biden administration and the way it handled the migrant crisis.
He says the country's challenges will be "annihilated," adding that the US is facing a crisis of "trust in a radical and corrupt institution."
The previous administration, he says, provided shelter and protection for "dangerous criminals" who entered our country illegally.
