The world's first female MP with Down Syndrome is elected in Spain

Mar Galceran, 44, has made history for himself and all people with Down Syndrome who struggle every day with the obstacles due to the extra chromosome.
Mar Galceran is the first in the world with Down syndrome to be elected MP. He will now work in the parliament of Valencia.
Galceran rose to the list as a result of the movement of colleagues who resigned.
"We must eradicate stereotypes, I would like us to be treated as people and not be seen only in our health condition," she said. "Everyone can achieve their goals with determination," the party's statement reads.
