Biden: We accept the choice the country made. I spoke to Trump...
President Joe Biden delivered his speech after Donald Trump's victory. Biden says the American people deserve a peaceful and orderly transition.
"I know for some people it's time to win. For others, it is a time of loss. Campaigns are races, competing visions. The country chooses one or the other, we accept the choice the country made," said Biden.
"You can't love your country only when you win. You cannot love your neighbor only when you agree. Something I think you can do regardless of who you voted for is see each other not as adversaries but as united Americans. We are leaving behind the strongest economy in the world. Now we have 74 days to finish the mandate, our mandate, let's count each day. We lost this battle, the America of your dreams is calling you to rise again. Yesterday I spoke with President-elect Trump to congratulate him on his victory and assured him that I would direct my entire administration to work with his team to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition. This is what the American people deserve."
