The cost of electricity in Kosovo increases by more than 15%

The board of the Office of the Regulator for Energy in Kosovo (ERO) approved today the new electricity tariffs, which will be 15% more expensive.

The new tariffs will come into effect from April 1 and will be valid until March 31, 2024.

According to ERO, this increase has come about because import prices for energy are still high.

"For consumers with household consumption up to 300 kWh, the monthly bill will increase by 2 euros and 88 cents. For consumers who consume up to 450 kWh, consumers will have a monthly increase of 4 euros and 20 cents. For consumers who consume up to 600 kWh, the monthly increase will be up to 5 euros, while for consumers who consume up to 800 kWh, the monthly increase will be around 7 euros and 23 cents," the decision states.
