At the end of the 25th edition of the Book Fair, the literary awards for this year's authors and translators were distributed today.

The award as the best Albanian author was given to the writer Zija Çela for his work "The Bank of Complaints", with the motivation "For the radiation of a wisdom and rich literary experience in identifying the fall of the human soul, as well as the alienation of the face of death of love in the labyrinths of a world that takes on a dystopian form".

The writer Natasha Poroçani was appreciated for her work in children's literature, with the book "Calendar of Apple Dreams".

The translator Klarita Lagji received the award for the best translation from French of the work "Vendi i Babait", by the Nobel-winning writer Annie Ernaux.

The winning author for the best research work was Arben Imami, for his work "3 forms of thought, Mythology, Rationality, Religion".

The award for the best translation of the year went to Romeo Çollaku for the translation of the work "The Poor Man of God" by the author Nikos Kazanxaqis.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who presented the award to the writer Zija Çela, said that the Municipality of Tirana will continue to support the Book Fair. "I feel good that the Municipality was the main sponsor of this activity. I can't wait to take it even further next year", emphasized Veliaj.

The jury consisted of Virgjil Muçi, Aleksandër Çipa, Vjola Isufaj, Alina Karaulli and Agim Baçi.
