Fake degree scheme! Wisdom University was licensed by the Head of the Board for a Louis Vuitton bag

It was the operation of the Guardia di Finanzia in Italy that revealed the scandal with fake diplomas in Albania. The two administrators of Wisdom University in Tirana have already ended up in handcuffs, accused of a fake diploma fraud scheme.
At the head of the fraud scheme are Savino Cianci and his wife Lucia Catalano, administrators of the university.
In the investigative file of the Italian prosecutor's office, it is said that in order to obtain the accreditation of Wisdom University, the Italians rewarded the head of the Accreditation Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (now former head), Shqiponja Telhaj, with a Louis Vuitton bag with worth 1200 euros.
The investigation was carried out after hundreds of complaints from Italian students who have paid from 6 to 20 thousand euros for obtaining a fake diploma from this university.

After the procedures followed within this process, and the verifications carried out throughout the control period in this institution, at the end of it, the working group, in July of this year, completed the final control report, finding legal violations, during exercise of the academic, administrative and financial activity of WISDOM University College for the period of exercise of control, referring to the provisions of law no. 80/2015, "On higher education and scientific research in higher education institutions in the Republic of Albania" and by-laws in its implementation.
Based on the recommendations of the control group, the legal procedure is being followed in connection with the closure of the academic activity of the non-public higher education institution WISDOM University College.
We underline that in the meantime, the Ministry of Education and Sports, for the new academic year 2024-2025, has not certified admission quotas for WISDOM University College.
