For the first time, at the "Mother Teresa" Hospital Center, the mini-invasive intervention for the removal of the head tumor, through the eye, has been performed, which avoids the classical opening used until now, and leaves no mark from an aesthetic point of view.
The news was shared by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu.
"Thanks to the excellent, very delicate work of a multidisciplinary team, the complete removal of the head tumor through the eye has been successfully completed.
Many thanks to the doctors, Prof. Artur Jumarit, neurosurgeon, Dr. Ermal Simaku, ophthalmologist, Dr. Marjon Sako, maxillofacial doctor, Dr. Myfit Saraçit, anesthesiologist, and the whole team for this rare work", she wrote.
