After the serious incident in Pristina, another serious crime has shocked North Macedonia. A 14-year-old girl was found murdered near a 74-year-old man in the capital Skopje. Macedonian media reports that the minor was kidnapped a few days ago while leaving the house. While the incident is serious in itself, authorities have uncovered details that make the murder even more tragic.
The Minister of Internal Affairs in North Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski, said in a press conference that the abduction of the minor was instructed by the father, as the latter demanded money from her mother.
According to Spasovski, the minor was taken from the apartment by car, after the father informed the perpetrators about the day and time when the girl would leave the house.
The car belongs to the 74-year-old man who was found dead next to the 14-year-old girl and was used by the perpetrators of the crime and then burned. The minister specified that the two murders are not related to each other, but it is about the same perpetrators involved.
"On behalf of the entire Ministry of Internal Affairs, I express my condolences to the family and all of Macedonia. Five people are involved in this murder. Three of them are in custody, one is on the run, while the minor's father has been detained by the police, after informing the perpetrators of the girl's whereabouts. According to the initial findings of a family member, he organized the crime in order to extort money from the minor's mother, from which all the people involved would benefit financially.
This serious event comes after the tragedy in Pristina, where Naim Murseli paid hitmen to execute his wife, Liridona Ademaj, mother of two children. He admitted the crime and told the court that he staged the carjacking to kill his wife.
While it has not yet been proven, it is suspected that he killed his wife to benefit from the life insurance that the 30-year-old had in Sweden.
