2 criminal groups that distributed drugs near the schools of Tirana were hit
Two criminal groups who were distributing drugs in different areas of the capital, were hit by the Tirana Police. The director of the Tirana Police, Tonin Vocaj, gave details on the police operation in a press conference.
"On the basis of the evidence obtained during a quarterly investigation, the coded police operation "Map" was organized and finalized, in the framework of which 20 people were caught and put in handcuffs, and 4 others were declared wanted. The investigations showed that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, acted in small groups and distributed narcotics in different areas of Tirana and Kamza, near schools, nightclubs and other places frequented by young people. From the investigations, it appears that the members of these criminal groups used coded messages and mainly traveled with public transport vehicles to avoid surprise police checks," said Vocaj.
During the operation, 2 kilograms and 120 grams of cocaine, 300 doses of cannabis, 130 doses of heroin, an amount of money of about 5 million old leks, 1700 euros, 11 vehicles and 29 mobile devices were seized as material evidence.
