The Supreme Court has left in force the security measure of "House Arrest" for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
With a decision taken by the Special Panel, the Supreme Court overturned the former prime minister's appeal for the removal of the security measure.
The decision of the highest level of the judiciary comes after the earlier rejection of Berisha's requests for the removal of "House Arrest", in the First Instance and Appeal.
"The Criminal Board, after examining in its entirety and in substance all the reasons presented in the appeal presented by Mr. Sali Berisha, decided: The enforcement of decision no. 15, dated 25.01.2024, of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime", the announcement of the Supreme Court states.
