Over 245 thousand envelopes with ballots are sent to the diaspora, 8400 emigrants return their votes to the CEC

So far, over 245,000 envelopes with ballots have been sent to Albanian emigrants in the diaspora. According to the latest updates on the official website of the Central Election Commission, 58,128 envelopes have been received from voters abroad. Of these, only 8,401 have already returned to Albania.
Tirana leads in terms of the number of ballots sent, with 51,520 envelopes, followed by Fier with 31,752, Elbasan with 25,022 and Durrës with 24,872. As for the countries where the most envelopes were sent, Italy holds the first place with 89,723, followed by Greece with 67,165, Germany with 25,062, the USA with 20,274 and the United Kingdom with 16,913.
Immigrants have until the first week of May to mail in their votes. Votes arriving in Albania after 7:00 PM on May 11 will not be considered.
