Travel visas won’t be reinstated! We are waiting for European Council to overthrow the Dutch parliament’s verdict

During interviews with different media channels, Genc Cakaj, the Acting Foreign Minister, stated that traveling visas won’t be reinstated. Cakaj said that a positive recommendation regarding the opening of the negotiations with Europe is being expected.

I want to clarify that traveling visas won’t be reinstated for Albanians, because the technical conditions aren’t met.

“The verdict of Dutch parliament is politically motivated. This is all because of the elections in Netherlands, where extremist parties that are asking for the exclusion of the countries that aren’t EU members, are gaining support. The verdict was motivated by the increase of the migration requests, as well as the asylum seekers. Another factor is the security violation of the Netherlands and other EU countries. We are waiting that the answer from the European Commission, regarding the Dutch parliament’s verdict, will be negative. The verdict should not in any way harm the relations between Albania and the Netherlands,” concluded Mr. Cakaj./Tiranapost/D.D
