The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, denied being involved in the corrupt “Reket” affair involving special prosecutor Katica Janeva.
Zaev took on Facebook to write about the case revealed by the Italian media, La Verita: “I categorically refute these lies or any connection to the ‘Racket’ case. I expect the investigation on this matter to end as soon as possible and the perpetrators to be brought to justice.”
With the article, the Italian media sought to highlight that politicians on the region are used as “puppets” of international mechanisms.
In the video released, two associates of the special prosecutor allegedly obtained some wiretaps from businessmen and politicians and used them as blackmail in order to extort money./
