Democratic party MP Rudina Hajdari has been taken under protective custody by the Republic’s Guard, following allegations of threats blackmail made against her, which she made public during Monday’s assembly session.
Hajdari said that she felt unsafe at the Assembly, after she was threatened at her office, and subsequently send a formal request to Speaker Gramoz Ruçi to add security measures.
Ruçi responded to Hajdari by stating that he has addressed the case to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and measures are being taken. Hajdari was seen on Thursday accompanied by a bodyguard, but no further details have been disclosed. Tiranapost.al
