The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, was joined by the Director of the ARRSH, Sonila Qato on Sunday, to inspect the works for the construction of the Tirana Great Ring Road, to facilitate circulation of vehicles by solving traffic issues, but also the reassessment of the areas near which it passes. Balluku talked about the problems encountered with the expropriation processes, claiming that they could be resolved within October. During the inspection, the Director of the ARRSH Sonila Qato said: “The progress of the works seems satisfactory so far. Recently, especially during the summer, the company has been working relentlessly, achieving high quality results. Although we have had expropriation issues at some key points of the project, work has continued on other parts that are vacant. In the meantime, ARRSH is working to realize the government’s decision to expropriate all of these residents, ” said Director Qato.
Whereas Minister Balluku stated that the construction is not just an investment which will facilitate the circulation of vehicles but the project includes a number of components envisaging a re-qualification of the whole area as there will be a dedicated space for the citizens, sidewalks, while another important part is also the river Lana which for years has been a major concern for residents of the area.Tiranapost.al
