Greece has two conditions in exchange for a ‘Yes’ to accession talks, says Greek minister

Greek minister of foreign affairs, Nikos Denidas in an interview on Monday stated that Albania has to comply with two conditions before having a ‘Yes’ from Greece for the opening of EU accession talks. Those conditions focus on the Greek minority in Albania. Denidas said the conditions shouldn’t be considered as an obligation, rather a goal to fulfill that is in the country’s best interest. The minister said that Greece seeks self-declaration for the Greek minority and the repealing of property laws. Denidas also unveiled parts of Prime Minister Rama’s meeting with Greek counterpart Mitsotakis in the US, stating that even though Albania has agreed to a compromise, it is still not enough.Tiranapost.al
