A recent Report TV poll in collaboration with the Italian GPF Inspiring Research Institute on the political situation in the country and the June 30th expectations, has revealed that Albanians (survey participants) consider Meta’s decree wrong. 822 people were interviewed for this survey. Those who think that President Meta is right, according to the poll: 47.7% belong to the SMI, 40.6% to the Democratic Party and 0.9% to the Socialist Party and 11.2% to other parties. Meanwhile, regarding the voters who think that Ilir Meta is wrong with regard to the decision to annul the June 30th elections, 73.5% belong to the Socialist Party, 14.4% to the Democratic Party, 11.2% to the other parties, and SMI to 0.9%.
On the other hand, the question as to why this decision is wrong, 47.7% of respondents say that the president becomes party to the opposition. 26.7% of the respondents stated that he did not have institutional powers to cancel the elections, while 25.6% of the respondents said that the president is thus creating a dangerous precedent.
Asked how much they agree with the decision of the Socialist Party to impeach President Ilir Meta, 54.6% have fully agreed, 39.5% have disagreed, while 5.7% have said they do not know the answer.
Asked by the Italian GPF Inspiring Research Institute if there were early elections, who would that vote for, 54% to 58% of respondents have chosen the Socialist Party, marking an increase compared to the first 3 polls conducted by the Institute GPF, with Roberto Baldassarin. 32% to 36% would vote for the Democratic Party, which marks a decrease compared to the June 15th 2019 poll, but an increase in relation to the other 2 previous polls. 1% to 3% would vote for the SMI, while figures show that this political force has a significant decline mainly in relation to the March 13, 2019 poll, where it was anticipated to receive 3 to 9% of the votes of the respondents. / See the tables below. / Original link here: / Tiranapost.al.
