Former UEFA President Platini arrested for influencing 2020 World Cup

Former UEFA president Michel Platini has been arrested after allegedly influencing the World Cup 2020 in Qatar. French legend, 63, was elected in 2007 as president and served until 2015 when he was fired by the FIFA Ethics Committee for a series of violations.
According to Mediapart, Platini was detained in the morning and kept in custody as part of an investigation into favoring the World Cup (Qatar 2020) in Qatar.
According to sports media, Platini was sent to the premises of the Anti-Corruption Judicial Police Office. We recall that Qatari was declared the country that will hold the 2010 World Cup early in 2010, but there have been many controversies by various officials who say that the votes on the selection of Qatar were manipulated. / Tiranapost.al.
