Under the moto “Tirana: A city for children, a city for all”, during these four years the largest number of nurseries and kindergartens have been reconstructed or build. Maybe even the largest in these last 30 years. At his appearance in Ora News’s “Don’t disturb the driver”, the mayor Erion Veliaj stated that this hasn’t been just for the election, but a continuing work so that the capital would have a concrete progress.
“You don’t have to have a master’s degree to understand who loves and has a passion for what they do. I’m always telling my staff that our municipality is just like a chicken, and every day it must lay e new egg every day, and in some days it maybe lay two or three, what’s important is that every day we must come up with a new concrete project; a new library, a new lane for bicycles, a new park, a new playground, a new kindergarten, a new nursery or a new school. And after 1500 day, doing just that, these last 30 days are no effort at all, they actually seem as the last lap of the marathon”, he said while listing some of the investments, one of which is even the kindergarten that he went to when he was a child.
“My parents used to take me to the 54th nursery, and it was such a joy for me to see it reconstructed. Then it was the of my kindergarten, the 118th, and you wouldn’t believe how proud I felt went it was renovated. For my primary school, my parents enrolled me at “Kosova” middle school, which was just reconstructed, from the ground up. I’ve actually renovated all of them. Wherever I was enrolled as a child, I went back to reconstruct them as an adult, but after I’d have finished with the other schools. Because you know that a shoemaker thinks of his own shoes the last”, he answered.
But in addition to the kindergartens, a separated attention has been focused on schools, such as the rebuild of “Kosova” middle school and the reconstruction of various high schools./Tiranapost/A.C
