The Dutch Government has voted against the Parliament which was for the return of visas for Albanians. In an official report, the government does not share the same opinion with members of parliament who maintain that there is still risk of national security from Albanian criminality. The report of the 3 ministers ends a long debate which has started in Tirana.

Justice and Security Minister Ferd Grapperhaus, State Secretary for Justice and Security, Mark Harbers, and Foreign Affairs Minister Stef Blok in the official document have provided figures on organized crime statistics in the Netherlands. The government report states that on 23 May 2018, a document of close cooperation between the Netherlands and Albania was signed to reduce the effects of Albanian crime.

With 92 votes out of 150, the Dutch Parliament decided on Tuesday, to ask the EC to suspend the traveling of Albanians without visas. The final decision is in the hands of the Council of the EU through an unanimous vote from all member states. /Tiranapost/A.C
