Bosch discusses visas and internal political battles in the Netherlands

Former OSCE Ambassador in Tirana and later Dutch Ambassador in Kosovo, Robert Bosch, has commented regarding the voting in the Dutch Parliament regarding the visa-free travel debate for the Albanians. Bosch expressed his ” for” view regarding this issue. As someone who knows the Albanian reality well enough, Bosch stated that Albania needs to work harder to change this perception in the Netherlands. He stated that this has more to do with internal issues of the Dutch MPs, to show that they are against crimes and dangerous foreigners. In his interview with Muhamed Veliu, Bosch stated that this is very offensive to Albania and that just 0.2% of crimes in the Netherlands have anything to do with Albanians. He added that it is time for all parties in Albania, including the government and the opposition to jointly insist that it is not the Albanians in focus of what is being written and said, that it is natural for a country to have criminal contingents, however there are also hard working, good people and that Albanians are not how they are being painted. In this case it is not only the government that should take offense, but the whole Albanian population and this is unacceptable. Full interview at Top Channel. / Tiranapost.al. D.Xh
